Chicken French Onion Casserole
Ingredients
2 large chicken breasts, halved lengthwise
3 tablespoons butter
1 large onion, sliced
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/3 cup beef broth
1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 teaspoon Herbs de Provence
1 cup grated Gruyere cheese
Garnish
Parsley
Instruction
Preheat oven to 400°F
Place butter and onions in a skillet and cook over medium heat until soft and caramelized are. This usually takes around 15 minutes.
Add beef broth, garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Sauté until most of the liquid is absorbed.
Season the chicken breast pieces with salt, pepper and Provençal herbs.Place the chicken in a 9×13 baking dish.
Top the chicken with the caramelized onion mixture and sprinkle with the Gruyère cheese.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Remove before serving and decorate with chopped parsley.
