Loaded Potato Soup

INGREDIENTS:
4 large potatoes, cut into cubes
enough water to cover the surface of the potatoes
1 cup chopped onion
2 cups milk
3 chicken bouillon cubes
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons dried parsley
1/ 2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon hot sauce
1 cup grated cheddar cheese more for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS:
Place in a 4-quart saucepan over medium-high heat Heat the potatoes, add them, cover with water (about 3-4 cups) and bring to a boil. Add milk, diced chicken, onions, parsley, garlic and basil, salt, pepper, hour sauce and 1 piece of bacon. Mix well. Quickly add the flour and stir until there are no lumps and the mixture thickens. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.Add the cheese and stir until melted.
Dice the remaining bacon to garnish the soup. Pour soup into serving bowls and garnish with cheese.
